Care Guide
Arthenéa creations are small fragments of time. To preserve its beauty over the years, follow these healing rituals.
Jewelry (Crochet and Pearls)
Cotton and pearl jewelry is delicate and dislikes water or chemicals.
- Cleaning: If necessary, clean only the cotton part with a slightly damp cloth and a splash of neutral soap. Never immerse the jewelry in water: pearls and internal structures may be damaged.
- Perfumes and Cosmetics: Wear jewelry only after applying perfumes, lacquers or creams.
- Storage: Always store them in their original case to prevent the fibers from attracting dust or getting caught.
Tailoring and Crocheting Heads (with or without Pearls)
Cotton is a living fiber, But manual labor and pearl applications require extreme sweetness.
- Washing: Always follow the label. I only recommend hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not wring or rub pearls or embroidery.
- Drying: Never use a dryer. Dry the garment flat, in the shade, over a clean towel to prevent the weight of the water from distorting the weave (especially for crochet).
- Ironing: Iron inside out at low temperatures, avoiding direct contact of the iron with the pearls or embroidery.
Upcycled pieces with Embroidery
These pieces already have a history and my embroidery intervention has made them even more precious.
- Treat them as archival pieces. Hand washing is essential to protect the tightness of the threads and the shine of the applied beads.
